Speckled Alder

Often found in areas with wet soil, Speckled Alder can act as erosion control and provide protection, shelter, and food for many species. As a nitrogen-fixing species, it replenishes the soil and nourishes the plants growing around it. Alders can be grown as a small tree or multi-stemmed shrub.
